Mt.Naeba / Naeba Niigata

All-mountain resort for parents and children

One of the largest snow resorts in Japan, Naeba also attracts visitors with its beautiful nature during the summer season. Visitors can enjoy 20 or more types of activities, including a unique playground that makes the most of the terrain of the ski slopes, as well as an automobile camping site.
The rich natural environment surrounded by forests, and the refreshing climate at an altitude of approximately 900 meters, create a comfortable space. A special time for the whole family awaits you.

Summer Activities

Naeba Prince Hotel and Naeba Ski Resort offer plenty of activities for parents and children to enjoy during the summer as well. There are four main areas for enjoyment: outdoor in the fields that make the most of the ski slopes (Refresh Zone, Exciting Family Area, and Healing Zone), and workshops held in the hotel building.

2024 Schedule July 13 (Sat) - 21 (Sun), August 3 (Sat) - September 1 (Sun)
  • *Closed from July 22 (Mon) to August 2 (Fri)

Refresh Zone

Ride the Prince No. 2 gondola to the top of its route, where pleasant highland breezes blow. The temperature difference between the hotel area and the summit is about 5°C! We also recommend going up as a place to cool off in the evening.

Naeba Sky Terrace

The Naeba Sky Terrace is a spacious and comfortable place to relax at an altitude of 1,518 meters, next to the summit of the Prince Gondola No. 2 route. Enjoy the fresh highland breeze as you take in the spectacular view from the terrace.

Exciting Family Area

You can enjoy a variety of activities such as the newly introduced "Rainbow Slider," a large, colorful slider approximately 100 meters long, and the 50-meter-long "Naebashan!” waterslide.

Healing Zone

Self-catch a fish and salt grilled on the spot at “Fishing Pier” or a little “Canoe Experience”, “Standup Paddleboarding“, etc. all fun-filled activities awaiting you.

Hotel Area

In the hotel area, we offer a wide variety of craft activities that anyone can enjoy, and all-weather indoor sports.

Naeba Boardwalk

Fuji Rock Festival is an outdoor music festival held in Naeba. Since 2002, with the help of local volunteers, we have built the Naeba Boardwalk here to create a barrier-free wooden walkway which wheelchairs can use to enjoy nature. The 1.5km path winds a way through the forest and continues to be expanded today, acting as part of nature preservation efforts around the area.
The boardwalk is opened to the public in summer. The cool and quiet shade of trees covers the path for a relaxing stroll.

Naeba Plateau Auto Camping

Why not take your car for a spot of camping in the refreshing outdoors? Vehicles can come and go up to the campgrounds, so you can use them to transport heavy luggage. This area is also used for Fuji Rock Festival, a hit of summer. It serves as a convenient base of operations for you to pursue various activities at Naeba Summer Park.
