This is one of the most scenic parts of the Rikuchu Coast National Park. Pure white rocks jut from the azure sea to form tiny islands. Pine trees on the cliffs add a subtle touch of color, creating a natural masterpiece. Reikyo Osho, who visited here some 300-odd years ago, is said to have named it when he exclaimed This is just like Jodo (Paradise). From the sightseeing ship Rikuchu-maru (required time: 40 mins) you can see Candle Rock and the Blowhole up close.
