Our artisans prepare expertly classic Tempura dishes, seeking out the best of fresh Japanese produce with respect for tradition.

Tiger prawn is a perennial favourite, whilst conger eel and sillago are also here to experience the genuine Tempura cuisine. You can savour their subtle flavours with our salt selection, perfectly complementing to fresh catches.

Wakatake is where one can savour the best of both Tempura arts: crispy tempura and traditional moist Tenju.
We serve as traditional style Tenju in the thick batter as if making it swim in a mellow Tentsuyu to allow it to well-infuse into the Tempura batter in respect to gourmet Edoite. Furthermore, no effort is spared with finishing touches as meticulously steaming the Tempura before serving. The moist, still velvety Tempura batter in Tentsuyu is designed to give a deep flavour.

Tencha is a sensational postlude to Tempura courses.
Umami derived from Tempura ingredients creates a perfect combination with refreshing green tea.

Maruju sweet potato Tempura dessert, named after the Shimazu clan’s emblem in Kagoshima prefecture, is our clientele’s hidden favourite.
The treat with vanilla ice cream and mellow treacle is something to end a perfect Tempura course.

Besides sought-after Sake, there are a wide array of home-grown drinks such as Shochu or even Japanese wine.
They pair fantastically with Tempura creation.

Cancellation Policy
*Please arrive on time before your dining is due to start as this will allow the culinary team to prepare your dishes.
*Please note that your reservation may be cancelled if you do not show up 30 minutes after your appointment time.
*Cancellation policy is applied as follows: 100% of cancellation fee no contact / no show, 50% cancellation fee prior to 1 day and 0% cancellation fee prior to 2 days of booking.
*Any cancellation must be made by 11.59 pm local time, 2 day prior to scheduled arrival to avoid a penalty charge.
