Hasedera Temple
Also commonly known as “Hase Kannon” Hasedera enshrines as its principal object of
worship Japan’s largest wooden Buddhist saint statue in the form of Kanzeon Bosatsu (Height: 9.18 m).
The temple grounds are home to variety of flowers which bloom throughout the year and is also
known as “Kamakura’s Buddhist paradise (The West Pure Land)”.
Visitors can also enjoy views of Yuigahama beach from the top of the walking track,
planted with approximately 2500 hydrangea of 400 varieties.
The temple restaurant, “Kaikoan” serves a “temple curry” made without meat that is also popular among vegans.
