Hokoku-ji Temple

Kamakura has two locations that have been awarded three stars in the Michelin Green Guide – Tokeiji Temple and
Hokokuji Temple, which is extremely famous for its bamboo garden.
Visitors can take in the delightful beauty of bamboo all year round in the garden, which has about 2,000 moso bamboo trees.
Strolling paths have been built into the bamboo grove, and at the small tea house inside the grove,
you can enjoy matcha green tea and small sweets as you gaze out at the bamboo garden.
The karesansui rock garden at the rear of the temple is another of Hokokuji Temple’s attractive features.
